Welcome to the website of the Shaldon Bowling Club. The bowling green is set in the centre of the village surrounded by Georgian houses and viewable from the London Inn ,one of the local hostelries. It is a quirky green and you can find out more if you read the history. Aside from it's quaintness it is one of the most successful clubs in Devon and provides bowlers for the County and for England. It has two men's teams in the Mid Devon Bowling League and the Over 55's Triples League and the ladies have a team in the South Devon Ladies Bowling League. In September we host three days of the Teignbridge Tournament. If you are in the village then you have a good opportunity to see some first class bowling. Better than that why not come and join the club. There are roll-up sessions for ladies on Wednesday afternoon, for Men Tuesday morning and mixed Thursday and Saturday mornings. It is a public green so visitors are welcome at most times except when matches are being played. Bowls are available we just request that visitors wear flat shoes. If matches are being played you are welcome to watch and it is possible that you may see some international and Devon county bowlers.
